Very disappointed with this camera. For one thing the variable focus is very touchy and hard to find the sweet spot. While mounting and adjusting the camera with the dome off, the image was decent when I got where I wanted it. Once I place the dome on, the image was blurry. Verified the dome was clean, still was blurry. At night, the IR reflects off the inside of the dome and you can not see hardly anything. I returned this camera, looking for something else. All other Swann cameras I bought, 770, 760 work fantastic.

I would not recommend buying this camera.

This might be okay in an enclosed environment, but for out of doors I found it to be much worse that the basic Swann camera’s that came with my system. The zoom and focus are both very touchy and honestly, I don’t reckon the zoom function zooms much at all.

I am using an entire Swann system composed of different cams. This 781 is really nicely built high quality item but the picture quality is still a bit lacking. Might need to upgrade soon. But, for general details, this is just fine.
