Knew the name. Excellent price.. Terrible performace,
Setup was simple enough. Plugged in VGA monitor and USB mouse (mouse provided) The actual STANDING AT UNIT function was fine. The remote function is horrible.
There is no MAC support not even from a browser
There is no way to limit which cameras certain users can see
Program for Windows called MYDVR.. Would never shut down. I had to go to task manager to kill it. Tried on several computers.
Browser access via IE.. You have to install a plugin from a CD (CD BTW says it cannot be used in a slot drive CD player.. ARE YOU KIDDING???)
IE produced constant errors with the OCX plugin… Logging out and back in did not fix it. Really if you try to log out and log back in it says error system busy and you have to completely close IE and reopen it
There are two choices for remote viewing quality.. WAN and LAN. Wan is excellent. Lan is blobs of color you cannot make out anything.
There is a “CPU USAGE” monitor for remote viewing. And it is usually PEGGED at 95% even on i5 Processor machines.
Seriously I replaced a 7 year ancient Geovision CCTV system that blew the doors off this thing.
Was really dissapointed. If you do not have to view video remotely this mike work fantastic for you. Othewise I would venture to other products.
