I bought this system over a year ago at Fry’s shortly after I bought my house. At the time I worked overseas and having the ability to keep an eye on my property intrigued me. I picked this system because it came with a built-in 1tb hard drive.Due to it’s relatively low cost I kinda knew from the git go the cameras were gonna be more or less medium grade. Although I use the cameras that came with the system, I’ve bought a couple extra online since I needed a wider field a view than the ones supplied. Once set up it worked flawlessly. Over a year now and absolutely no complaints. attached are pics from my galaxy tablet, (the same is seen on my galaxy cell phone (android). and the last pic is from my laptop (PC). I can literally view the images live streaming from anywhere in the World (via internet connection). Ditto for being able to view on my PC laptop via download software from the Swann website. Tech support is par to none with 24/7 . help. Some observations noted; downloaded apps allow playback on my laptop, but not cellphone (galaxy note 3); in any event, All in all I highly recommend this unit. Also I highly recommend placing the dvr in a ‘well ventilated’ area since it’s running 24/7 and can get pretty warm-hot. I have mine in the garage, resisting the urge to place it in an enclosed closet space.

This camera system’s seems to be fantastic so far after install. Customer service is not so fantastic, but that is a lot of places, so if you are having problem with your system you may or may not get someone that will know what they are talking about. When installing the system you will have to be IT savy, because it involves running wires as well as configuring the cameras and also deciding where you would like the DVR install at. I have only had it up a week and that is why I have given it 4 stars. I will repost later when it has been installed for a month or so. Oh, forgot the plus in this is that it comes with a 1 TB HDD instead of a 500 HDD, :)
