Simple set-up……but…,
After considerable research I chose this model because of its features.
I do not know the lack of reviews on this device as I have read review online on other retailers.
The packaging on this product was two boxes. One box is a retail package of the monitor and one camera. Box two was another retail package called an add-on camera.
An electrical connection is required. Literal minded people who reckon wireless equals cordless are mistaken. Wireless means the camera operates on WiFI. I had an electrician add an exterior outlet under my roof eaves for camera one and camera two was attached via an extension cord to an existing electoral outlet o under the eaves of the back part of my house.
The toughest part of using this camera is simply finding the right place to mount it to get the maximum benefit. That is the only thing which took me time. Using the battery controlled monitor while I was on the ladder was a real plus.
PRO:
Very simple initial set-up.
Linking the cameras to the monitor was simple. The Camera that came with the monitor was already linked. The add on camera linked quickly.
The monitor, (about the size of an iPad mini) doubles as the receiver and recorder.
Monitor has an AC connection and battery and can be operated without the AC cord. But not for long. I have had mine off the AC cord for only about 2 hours and the low battery light is flashing.
The device takes a micro SD card- Maximum size 32GB.I found it hard to insert the SD card. Although it pops out easily. You can set the device to overwrite when the card is full or not erase at all.
The instruction manual is written in clear English with illustrations and was simple to follow. Although the instructions leave out an vital point. If you have more than one camera you need to tap the screen to toggle between multi-view or single views of the two cameras.
The HD images are quite clear and offer brilliant color in the daytime.VGA image is only slightly clear. At night the Infrared LEDs are not visible to the human eye but do an ok job of allowing the camera to see about 30 feet with some detail. The night vision is not perfect. The images at night appear black and white unless something is close to the lens.
The set up and playback screens are honestly intuitive. To playback you click on the playback icon and choose the file containing the date you which view.
I have had no interference with my wireless router or my internet connection.
CON:
The system does support a smart phone ap but this requires that the monitor be hardwired to your wireless router. I need the monitor in another part of my house which is not near my router. I could set this up for use while on vacation or away for an extended time, but it annoys me that that detail was not in the description of the product.
The mounting hardware is only adequate. It takes some figuring out how to position the camera because the tilt and pan options are controlled by two different operations. A twist knob operates the pan while an included allen wrench adjusts the swivel of the camera. I have two fake cameras that have a better ball swivel on them.
Any object close to the lens at night will look overexposed because of the Infrared lights. I had to re-adjust several times because some of my plants were blasted with white light which made viewing beyond them impossible.
The touch screen is not sensitive enough, Sometimes it takes several taps to get it to perform.
The motion detection is either too sensitive or not sensitive enough. On the lightest setting it could not detect me walking in front of it. On the medium setting it will detect bugs flying close and cars going down the street but also detected my American flag flapping which I took down and have to relocate.

TECHNICAL PROBLEM:
I didn’t want to lead with this because I believe Quality Assurance is a thing of the past in manufacturing. I really expect most things not to work. When things work perfectly, that is just a plus. Camera one which arrived with the monitor developed condensation inside the lens during the heat of the afternoon rendering the image on the monitor unusable. It looks like thick fog on the monitor. It clears up when the evening cools. This occurred within one day of receiving the product last week. I did not try live chat but sent an email. I received a response 12 hours later asking me to send a picture of the problem. Not wanting to wait 12 hours for another response I called Support on the phone. Tech support kept me holding 15 minutes and I spoke to a pleasant but robotic young woman who never seemed to listen to what I was saying. After endless questions she approved a warranty return but said I had to send the camera back at…
