The touch screen’s finger sensitivity could be a small better but it works. The battery in the touch screen is fantastic for walking around to determine the range and help with placement. The range was acceptable. Mine is in a 90+ year ancient building with real plaster walls. The image quality – which is HD – is acceptable too if the subject is relatively close. The camera records usable black and white images in full darkness. The motion detector starts “filming” reliably. The app allows for remote viewing of saved “events”. I bought the 32gig chip ($17). I have no thought how much [minutes/events] it will hold. I gave 5 stars not only because it exceeded my expectations but also because the price is fantastic for a product with this range, image quality, built in DVR, remote access and the convenience of the screen’s built in battery for portability during setup.

|i was glad the wireless camera connects fine in my garage attic …,
but the instructions included with, and online are not complete and clear. the phone support is there, but in the 2 calls i made, it was though the non english individual was reading the answers to my questions right off the instructions i had gotten with the system. i did get one excellent bit of information,(only after the tech placed me on hold, so he could get the answer) in order to show more than one view from each camera, if you get more than one, you just simply tap the touch screen! this was nowhere in the included instructions or online. The bottom line is- you will not be able to count on getting any additional information from Swann Technical support. i will have to continue to figure out and do all the tweaking — between brightness, vga/hd , sensitivity and aiming to get the system set up to see and record what i need to see outside the front of my house.

|Fantastic picture,
The terrible:
-no digital zoom function like on similar systems
-the system interferes with our wifi.
-the handheld monitor is not the best quality and the touch screen is hard to use at times
The excellent:
-This is one of the only wireless systems to offer 720p recording.
-The cameras are brilliant. Picture and sound quality are very excellent.
-Motion detection works really well.
-The app works well. I can easily view my cameras remotely on my iPhone. I can easily view recorded motion events from my phone.
Overall, I like this system. I have also handled the uniden guardian system but the refresh rate is better on this one. The uniden does have a more quality touchscreen monitor. But, I gave found I do the majority of my viewing from my cell phone.
